Description    The server is unable to send e-mail notifications.

According to Microsoft :
Cause :
WSUS Administrators and WSUS Reporters may receive status reports or notification of new updates in e-mail. At times e-mail delivery may fail.
Resolution :
Resolver - E-Mail Notification Failures
Check the E-mail server configuration in the WSUS administration console.

•    In the WSUS administration console, go to Options.

o    Select E-Mail Notification, then select the E-Mail Server tab.

    Make sure that the server, sender, and logon information is correct.
Make sure that the SMTP server is configured to receive e-mail from the WSUS server.
Verify :
Check for e-mail failures.

    Launch the WSUS administrative console.

    Select Options.

    Select E-Mail Notifications.

    Select the E-Mail Server tab.

    Click Test.

LI>If the e-mail fails to be sent, a Test E-Mail Notifications message box will show the exception.
